In our society, people are becoming increasingly distant from nature and the use of natural materials. Unlike animal materials like fur and wool, reusing human hair is a somewhat sensitive subject for many due to the emotions attached to it. The collection’s title, “Out of My Hair,” of course, refers to the use of human hair in the designs. It’s also a light-hearted way of suggesting that utilizing discarded human hair could contribute to a cleaner planet. But are we capable of detaching ourselves from the emotional connection with the original wearer and gaining a different perspective on hair?
